Yesterday I deleted all the M-Audio Fast Track drivers and ASIO drivers and re-installed them. I'm mic'ing a 1/2 stack w/ the mic 6" away so amp volume is definitely not an issue. When I look the armed track in Mixcraft I'm getting the EQ to light up around 33%-50% volume. That's the only volume control on the Fast Track. The Fast Track does have a mic volume knob that I have cranked to the point that in my headphones I can hear a pin drop in the room. PS: If you do you happen to suggest it's the ASIO drivers can you also provide a link so that I can confirm I'm snagging the right ones. This is getting extremely frustrating and I'm to the point that I feel like it's simply that Mixcraft hates my M-Audio Fast Track. Mixcraft never locks up when I'm doing anything including recording MIDI but as soon as I hook up the M-Audio Fast Track and switch over to ASIO in the Preferences I get all sorts of program freezes where I have to shut down (force down) the program and restart. I've tried every combination of knob & button position on the Fast Track hoping to luck out but no dice. Then I hit record & I get a faint recording that sounds as if it was recorded a mile away from the mic. The volume in my headphones that are run out of the Fast Track also is good & loud. The Fast Track recognizes a signal from my guitar amp & lights up, also the EQ on the armed track lights up recognizing a signal. I tend to think the drivers are ok because I am getting audio recorded & if the drivers were not correct I'd get no audio recording, more of an all or nothing scenario? For the recording track that is armed I have selected M-Audio Fast Track > Left Channel. My instrument recording is extremely faint.įor settings I have my Preferences set to ASIO with the correct recording & playback devices selected. I'm using Mixcraft 6 along w/ the M-Audio Fast Track Interface & when recording live instruments I consistently encounter 2 issues.
